The tall bell tower (75 meters high) of the baroque Clérigos Church is one of main symbols of Porto and can be seen from various points of the city. At the top you will find one of the best views of the city.
It was designed by the Italian architect Nicolau Nasoni. In 2014, 235 years after the first inauguration, the Clérigos Church was restored and now it has new accesses, a museum, a lift and daily pipe organs concerts.
The restoration works allowed the discovery of a crypt from the 18th century with at least ten graves. One of them may be from the architect Nasoni.
