A small cozy house1 is always something that brings the good things to mind and with the good things, the good memories.
Here we find an heritage of flavors that allows us to taste those good things.
It’s our “little house”2. It’s a dream house and it can be a house of dreams for some of us.
A cozy atmosphere in a restored old house which kept characteristic features like the traditional granite and Portuguese tile work. There are two rooms and a terrace, nicely decorated and inviting to relax, to talk or simply to read (there is a bookcase with free access).
Hot or cold drinks, tasty croissants, crepes, quiches, soups, salads and traditional toasts, ideal for light meals. But there’s also handmade ice cream, cakes, cookies, scones and many other delicious things! Here you can find also traditional products like wine, olive oil, tea and jams.
It’s a privilege to be on the terrace… you will forget that you are in the city center, although the busy Boavista Avenue is at the door and Casa da Música is just around the corner.
[quote_box_center]1in Portuguese, the word “house” (casa, casinha) is much closer to the word “home” than in English, they are actually synonyms. Although we have a word for home as well, we tend to use house and judge by context if it refers to a home or a building. For instance, we literally say “house team” instead of “home team”. We could have translated to home but it felt misleading.
